Museumhaven Zeeland / Stads- en Commerciewerf
The Stads- en Commerciewerf is located just outside the Zuidhavenpoort and is one of the sites of Museumhaven Zeeland. The name refers to the city’s maritime history. Throughout the year, authentic ships are restored and repaired here at the traditional shipyard with the help of many volunteers.
Visitors can explore the area and admire the work of real ship carpenters. Children can test their carpentry skills by caulking with a caulking iron and hammer. Or make a ship ready to sail and test your steering skills. A fun day out for all ages. In the exhibition space at the shipyard, you can also take part in a treasure hunt. Answer eight questions and find the code word.
