While Schouwen-Duiveland as an area experienced good times, agricultural laborers endured bitter poverty. Where the draft horse was once indispensable, it has been increasingly replaced by tractors over the years. Past, present, and future of agriculture.

In the attic of the barn, you will find a large collection of tools. Here, you can see how people used to live and work in and around the farm.

Be sure to visit the furnished farmhouse that takes you back to the early 1900s. With its elegant living room, authentic cellar, cozy kitchen, and original upstairs room, you will step over 100 years back in time. There is also plenty to see in the garden around the museum, including old and contemporary agricultural crops, herbs, and tall fruit trees. An extensive collection of old agricultural tools and artisanal (hand) tools completes the picture.

After your visit, you are warmly welcome to the museum café for homemade pastries, coffee/tea, lunch, or drinks.

Tip: Museumboerderij Goemanszorg has developed a free audio tour especially for children. You can find this audio tour at the entrance of the museum.
