Welcome to the Reformed Church Burgh, located in the heart of Burgh. Our church building, the Renaissance-Cross Church, is the oldest Protestant church building on the island. It was built between 1671 and 1674 and is mainly known for the progressive lord Pieter de Huybert, who played an important role in its establishment. The building has since been thoroughly restored after fire and war damage, while preserving the appearance and atmosphere of the historic building.
In the Reformed Church Burgh, you will find striking epitaphs of Pieter de Huybert, his son Johannes, and son-in-law Catharina Cornelia. On Sundays, two Bible readings are usually held, and there are special services during Easter, Ascension, Pentecost, Advent, and Christmas.
