Nationaal Park Oosterschelde
National Park Oosterschelde is a unique and dynamic nature reserve where ebb and flow create a rich biodiversity of thousands of birds, plants, and animals. As the largest National Park in the Netherlands, it is an international bird area and an important place for birds to breed and for fish species such as garfish, anchovy, and twaite shad to spawn. The park also houses seals and harbor porpoises, which you can see basking on the Roggenplaat with a bit of luck or spot from the dike. Numerous nature-oriented activities are organized such as beachcombing, boot tours, kayaking, snorkeling, and nature cruises. National Park Oosterschelde is free to enter, but give nature the space and rest it deserves.
