Veerpont Bruinisse - Anna Jacobapolder
Experience the unique Veerpont Bruinisse - Anna Jacobapolder, a fishing cutter still active in oyster, eel and lobster fishing. From June to mid-September, the ship operates as a ferry between Schouwen-Duiveland and the island of Tholen on Fridays and Saturdays. Feel free to bring your bike and discover the region during the 15-minute crossing. While waiting for the ferry, you can take a look at the pier in Bruinisse (Zijpe) where eels are smoked and traps are repaired.
The ferry operates between July 1 and August 27, 2022, and on September 2, 3, 9, and 10, 2022. Departure times are at 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 13:00, 14:00, 15:00, 16:00 and 17:00 from Bruinisse, and at 10:30, 11:30, 12:30, 13:30, 14:30, 15:30, 16:30 and 17:30 from Anna Jacobapolder.
The fare for adults is €5 for one-way and €7.50 for round trip. Children pay €2.50 for one-way and €4 for round trip. Bicycles are free. In case of uncertain weather or wind force 6 or higher, please call 06-23791870 in advance.
