Oosterland
Oosterland is a village with around 2,300 inhabitants and is located between the villages of Bruinisse and Nieuwerkerk. Adjacent to the village is a creek area that is not accessible to the public. However, when the ice is thick enough, people are allowed to ice skate in the area during winter. In colloquial terms, the residents of Oosterland are called "crows," and this nickname is immortalized in a statue on the market square.
