Discover the birthplace of Jacob Cats, a historically important person known as a poet, lawyer, and politician. The Catshuis in The Hague, named after Cats, was his later residence and is comparable to the current office of the Prime Minister. Later, he became a successful politician and lawyer and died in 1660 in The Hague, where he left his daughters 2.3 million guilders.
